Mr. Ross is born to Clare W. and Jeanne F. Ross.

Mr. Ross graduates from Turlock Union High School and begins studies at the California Institute of Technology.

Mr. Ross joins the U.S. Air Force.
1946
Mr. Ross studies at San Jose State University.
1950
Mr. Ross earns a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering from Stanford University and becomes an instructor at San Benito High School and Junior College.
1951
Mr. Ross becomes an electrical engineer at Jennings Radio Manufacturing Corporation in San Jose, California.
1952
Mr. Ross begins the development of the high voltage power vacuum switch.
1954
Mr. Ross studies high voltage postgraduate courses at Stanford University.
1954
Mr. Ross becomes a licensed professional electrical engineer for the state of California.
1960
Mr. Ross serves as chairman of the Santa Clara Valley subsection of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineering.
1962
Mr. Ross becomes a chief engineer of power vacuum switches at ITT Jennings in San Jose, California.
1964
Mr. Ross starts and takes on the role of president at Ross Engineering Corporation in Campbell, California.
1966
Mr. Ross is elected a Fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers in Campbell, California for development of the high voltage power vacuum switch.
2018
Mr. Ross receives the US OSS/CIA Congressional Medal of Honor for Secret Air Force “Carpetbaggers” in WWII flying B24 airplanes over Europe at night dropping resistance fighters and supplies.
