Professor Desio is born in Boston, Massachusetts to Benjamin and Mary Desio.

1960

Professor Desio receives a Bachelor of Science in chemistry from Boston College.

1963

Professor Desio becomes a teaching fellow in New Hampshire.

1964

Professor Desio earns a Doctor of Philosophy in organic chemistry from the University of New Hampshire and begins his career as a research associate at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

1966

Professor Desio becomes an instructor and eventually an associate professor at the University of New Haven.

1976

Professor Desio serves as chairman of the Department of Chemistry at the University of New Haven.

1979

Professor Desio is named a full professor at the University of New Haven.

1980

Professor Desio is named a professor of chemistry at the University of New Haven.

2003

Professor Desio earns the title of Professor Emeritus at the University of New Haven.
