Mr. Simms is born in Vinita, Oklahoma to Paul Otto and Meda Simms.
1943
Mr. Simms joins the U.S. Navy.
1950
Mr. Simms receives a bachelor’s degree from The University of Oklahoma and becomes an electronic engineer with The Martin Company in Baltimore, Maryland.
1956
Mr. Simms becomes a systems engineer with The Martin Company in Denver, Colorado.
1961
Mr. Simms serves as manager of electronics and system engineering at Fairchild in Hagerstown, Maryland.
1966
Mr. Simms joins the senior technology staff at ITT Intelcom in Bailey’s Cross, Virginia.
1967
Mr. Simms becomes a program manager at Systems Research Corporation in Washington, D.C.
1970
Mr. Simms is promoted to director of operations at Systems Research Corporation.
1971
Mr. Simms becomes a program manager at General Electric in Beltsville, Maryland and authors “A Measure of Knowledge,” published by the Philosophical Library of Publishers.
1973
Mr. Simms serves as a consultant in private practice in Clarksville, Maryland.
1975
Mr. Simms becomes a senior associate at Booz, Allen & Hamilton is Bethesda, Maryland.
1978
Mr. Simms serves as county coordinator of the Committee to Elect Congresswoman Byron.
1979
Mr. Simms is elected president of the Southern Howard County Democrat’s Club.
1983
Mr. Simms establishes Simms Industries Inc. in Columbia, Maryland, where he serves as president. He also authors “The Limits of Behavior: A Quantitative Social Theory.”
2006
Mr. Simms authors “Principles of Quantitative Living System Science.”
2015
Mr. Simms is named an honoree Cherokee Warrior by the Cherokee Nation.
2017
Mr. Simms is honored with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award.
