Dr. Golden is born in New York, New York to Barnet Dade and Rose Golden.

1954

Dr. Golden earns a Bachelor of Science in physics from New York University.

1960

Dr. Golden receives a PhD in physics from New York University and joins the faculty as an assistant professor.

1961

Dr. Golden becomes an assistant professor at Adelphi University in Garden City, New York.

1962

Dr. Golden marries Paula Englander and becomes an engineering specialist at GTE Laboratory in Palo Alto, California.

1963

Dr. Golden becomes a staff scientist at Lockheed Laboratory.

1968

Dr. Golden serves as a visiting professor at the University of Bari in Italy.

1969

Dr. Golden becomes a senior scientist at Sylvania Electric Products in Danvers, Massachusetts.

1970

Dr. Golden becomes a professor at the University of Nebraska and a Fellow of the American Physical Society.

1974

Dr. Golden becomes a fellow of the Centennial Education Program at the University of Nebraska.

1975

Dr. Golden becomes a George Lynn Gross research professor and a department chair at the University of Oklahoma.

1982

Dr. Golden joins the Say It Straight Foundation in Austin, Texas as a senior consultant.

1983

Dr. Golden co-authors elementary, middle, and high school workbooks, and a trainer manual with the Say It Straight Foundation.

1985

Dr. Golden joins the faculty at the University of North Texas as a professor of physics, where he also becomes provost and vice president of academy affairs.

1986

Dr. Golden serves as chairman of the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board Committee on Satellite Educational Delivery Systems.

1989

Dr. Golden becomes the director of the Center for Materials Characterization at University of North Texas.

1993

Dr. Golden becomes a regent’s professor at the University of North Texas.

1995

Dr. Golden begins consulting work for Texas Instruments Incorporated.

1997

Dr. Golden begins consulting work for AT&T.

2004

Dr. Golden takes on the positions of president and chief executive officer at the Say It Straight Foundation.
