1937

Mr. Robinson is born in Quincy, Massachusetts to Hobart Krum and Charlotte Elizabeth Robinson.

1959

Mr. Robinson receives a Bachelor of Arts from Williams College.

1959

Mr. Robinson serves as a lieutenant in the U.S. Naval Reserve for three years, during which time he attended JAG School and served aboard the USS Little Rock CLG-4 in the Deck and Gunnery Division.

1964

Mr. Robinson marries Gerd Ingela Janhede.

1964

Mr. Robinson receives a Master of Business Administration from Columbia University and becomes a market analyst for Mobil Chemical Co. in Richmond, Virginia.

1967

Mr. Robinson becomes manager of program analysis and control for Polaroid Corp. in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

1969

Mr. Robinson welcomes the birth of his first child, Steven Whitney.

1969

Mr. Robinson is appointed executive vice president and director of Simplex Wire and Cable, Inc. in North Berwick, Maine.

1971

Mr. Robinson welcomes the birth of his second child, Karina Jill.

1973

Mr. Robinson joins McKinsey and Co., Inc. He holds multiple positions in New York, New York; Copenhagen, Denmark; and Stockholm, Sweden including principal, and director of administration.

1975

Mr. Robinson welcomes the birth of his third child, Peter Danforth.

1980

Mr. Robinson serves as president of the American Club in Copenhagen and director of the Fulbright Commission in Copenhagen, Denmark.

1981

Mr. Robinson leaves McKinsey and Co. to serve as president and chief executive officer of Brink’s Inc. in Darien, Connecticut.

1982

Mr. Robinson serves as director of Burlington No. Air Freight, Inc. in Newport Beach, California.

1985

Mr. Robinson returns to McKinsey and Co. in New York, New York.

1998

Mr. Robinson retires from McKinsey and Co.

1999

Mr. Robinson becomes vice chair of the Williams College Alumni Fund.
