1948

Mr. Renteria is born in Ruidoso, New Mexico to Victor and Ramona Sanchez Renteria.

1973

Mr. Renteria receives a Bachelor of Science in Electronic Engineering from The University of Texas at El Paso.

1975

Mr. Renteria serves as a teller at El Paso Savings & Loan in El Paso, Texas until 1997.

1976

Mr. Renteria earns six hours Master of Science in Industrial Engineering from The University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP).

1976

Mr. Renteria joins the Tau Kappa Epsilon and The University of Texas at El Paso Alumni Associations and the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development (ASCD).

1977

Mr. Renteria serves as a karate instructor for the Parks and Recreation department in El Paso, Texas until 1993.

1977

Mr. Renteria serves as a Quality Assurance Production Test Technician for GUS Manufacturing until 1982.

1977

Mr. Renteria joins the IEEE through 2002.

1979

Mr. Renteria begins studying for a Master of Business Administration from UTEP.

1983

Mr. Renteria becomes a Production Test Supervisor at Rockwell International in El Paso, Texas until 1985.

1985

Mr. Renteria is self-employed in El Paso, Texas through 1990.

1990

Mr. Renteria becomes a substitute teacher for the El Paso Independent School District.

1992

Mr. Renteria becomes the Engineering Content Instructor for the summer Texas Pre-Engineering Program (TexPrep) at The University of Texas at El Paso until 2008; and begins an Alternative Certification teaching program.

1993

Mr. Renteria becomes a math teacher at Bowie High School in the El Paso Independent School District (EPISD).

1994

Mr. Renteria joins the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics through 2004.

1996

Mr. Renteria begins contributing to the Special Olympics and the United States Olympic Team in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

2004

Mr. Renteria is named National Honor Roll’s Outstanding Teacher through the present.

2006

Mr. Renteria becomes a member of the Parental Task Force through 2009.

2018

Mr. Renteria receives his 25-Year Service Pin from EPISD, and is designated a “Life Long Teke” for more than 40 years as a contributor to Tau Kappa Epsilon Educational Fund.
