Dr. Malone receives a Bachelor of Science from Pennsylvania State University.

Dr. Malone marries Gloria Joyce Cromer.

Dr. Malone receives a Doctor of Medicine from the University of Pennsylvania.

Dr. Malone serves as a pediatric intern at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.
1968
Dr. Malone serves as a resident at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.
1969
Dr. Malone becomes a research fellow in the Division of Biochemical Development and Molecular Diseases at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.

Dr. Malone becomes an instructor of pediatrics at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine (now Perelman School of Medicine).
1971
Dr. Malone is appointed chief resident of the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania (Penn Medicine).

Dr. Malone becomes an assistant professor at the University of South Florida College of Medicine (now Morsani College of Medicine) in Tampa, Florida.

Dr. Malone is promoted to associate professor at the University of South Florida College of Medicine.

Dr. Malone is appointed chief of the Division of Pediatric Diabetes & Metabolic Diseases at the University of South Florida College of Medicine.

Dr. Malone becomes co-director of the Diabetes Center at the University of South Florida College of Medicine.

Dr. Malone is promoted to full professor of pediatrics at the University of South Florida School of Medicine.

Dr. Malone serves as president of the Southern Society for Pediatric Research.

Dr. Malone is appointed visiting professor of pediatrics at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USUHS).

Dr. Malone receives the Founder’s Award in Pediatrics from the Southern Society for Pediatric Research.

Dr. Malone receives the Elliot P. Joslin 50 Year Medalist Award.
