Dr. Coan receives a Master of Arts in psychology from the University of California, Berkeley.

Dr. Coan becomes a psychology instructor at Los Angeles City College.

Dr. Coan receives a Doctor of Philosophy in psychology from the University Southern California.

Dr. Coan becomes a research associate in psychology at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
