Mr. Goodyear is born in Los Angeles, California to Ronald and Lillian Goodyear.

Mr. Goodyear receives a bachelor’s degree in design from the University of Michigan.

Mr. Goodyear marries Anne Dixon.

Mr. Goodyear receives a master’s degree in design from the University of Michigan.

Mr. Goodyear becomes an instructor at the University of Michigan.

Mr. Goodyear becomes an instructor at the University of Massachusetts.

Mr. Goodyear receives a grant from the Graham Foundation.

Mr. Goodyear becomes a professor in the Mason Gross School of Visual Art at Rutgers University, where he also eventually becomes chairman of the Art Department.
