Dr. Lent receives a Bachelor of Science from Ohio University.

Dr. Lent receives a Master of Science from Ohio University.

Dr. Lent becomes an instructor in English, an assistant professor, and is appointed director of public relations at the West Virginia University Institute of Technology in Montgomery, West Virginia.

1961

Dr. Lent studies in Guadalajara, Mexico.

1962

Dr. Lent receives a certificate from the University of Oslo in Norway.

Dr. Lent becomes a Newhouse Research Assistant and assistant to the director of communication research at Syracuse University in Syracuse, New York.

Dr. Lent serves as a visiting associate professor at the University of Wyoming.

Dr. Lent becomes a founding director of the Communications Program at Universiti Sains Malaysia in Penang, Malaysia.

Dr. Lent becomes an associate professor at Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
